The proper tool is always a considerable part of doing a good job, some would say as much as 50%. Being a cabinet worker of old i can attest to that.
So, if you wish to have your beginner guitar online experience off on the right foot, I suggest you spend some time to find the best guitar you can possibly afford - not just any old (or new) guitar will do you see :-)
The good news is that you can pick up a really good instrument at eBay for very little money. These are guitars that have been properly set up (adjusted), and which are being sold by honest folks who know what they are doing.
The not so good news is that these sellers are harder to find... You may end up buying something that isn't quite as advertised, or you may be ripped off completely.
So, what I'll do is to give you some links to a couple of very reputable sellers which always have delivered as promised, on time, high quality and good prices. This guys are in the US (I'm in Norway), and I tend to but from that market -- or the UK market -- simply because of the prices are lower and numbers of instruments are so much higher. Even with shipment, customs etc. it's usually a nobrainer.
...if you know you're dealing with the right kind of sellers. I'll keep you posted, so do stay tuned (pun intended :-)!
You'll eventually find some direct listings at Beginner Guitar Online, or perhaps here at my blog.
